Wine & Oil Educator

Trattore Farms, an estate winery and olive milling operation located in stunning Dry Creek Valley, is looking for high energy individuals willing to serve and sell our wines and olive oils. This person must work well with others, possess a basic understanding of the hospitality business, and enjoy wine and extra virgin olive oil (EVOO).

We offer competitive hourly pay, along with an opportunity to earn commissions and gratuities.

Full-time positions include health, vision, and dental insurance, and are eligible to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan.

Responsibilities include all aspects of Tasting Room (TR) Duties:

• Creating a positive and memorable wine & oil tasting experience for all guests and club members
• Accomplishing wine, oil & gift sales
• Selling Wine Club Memberships & promotions
• Adhering to all current COVID-19 precautions and hygienic guidelines
• Handling cash register operations and daily reconciliations
• Keeping up with general TR maintenance and cleaning during shifts: glass washing & polishing, inventory stocking, and other necessary tasks
• Participating in kitchen prep, service, and clean up
• Assisting with Special Events, groups, and VIP Tastings and/or meal service.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in service and/or sales
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a passion for wine and olive oil
• Willingness to take instruction and work as a team player
• Abides to current COVID-19 Health precautions & practices
• Demonstrates initiative with routine maintenance and TR projects
• Superior customer service and etiquette
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with Point of Sale software and use of iPad
• Agree to work a flexible schedule, including some weekends, evenings, and holidays, if needed
• Capable to lift up to 40 lbs. on occasion
• Maintain a professional manner in changing and challenging conditions
• Able to stand for prolonged periods, as well as bending, walking and climbing stairs
